5-12 Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track. Don’t assume that you know it all. Run to God! Run from evil! Your body will glow with health, your very bones will vibrate with life! Honor God with everything you own; give him the first and the best. Your barns will burst, your wine vats will brim over.
But don’t, dear friend, resent God’s discipline; don’t sulk under his loving correction. It’s the child he loves that God corrects; a father’s delight is behind all this.

5-12 你要全心信靠神，不要什麼事都由自己去安排。你無論做什麼，去哪裡，都要尋求神的意思，聽祂怎麼說，祂能保守你行在正路上。不要以為自己什麼都知道，要奔向神，卻要遠離罪惡！這樣你的身體必因壯健二發出光澤，你的筋骨也充滿朝氣活力！要在你所擁有的一切財物上尊重祂，你要把初熟和最好的獻給祂，這樣，你的糧倉必充滿有餘，你的榨酒池也必溢滿。
然而，我的朋友啊！你千萬別因為神的管教而反抗，不要因祂改正你的錯失而生氣，神所管教的都是祂所愛的孩子，祂責備的背後蘊藏著父親的愛。
