7-8God is educating you; that’s why you must never drop out. He’s treating you as dear children. This trouble you’re in isn’t punishment; it’s training, the normal experience of children. Only irresponsible parents leave children to fend for themselves. Would you prefer an irresponsible God?
7-8上帝正在教導你們；因此你們不可中途放棄。他對待你們如同親愛的兒女。你們目前身處的困境並不是懲罰；而是訓練，是兒女原本該體驗的正常經歷。只有不負責任的父母才讓兒女自生自滅。你們喜歡一位不負責任的上帝嗎？
9 We respect our own parents for training and not spoiling us, so why not embrace God’s training so we can truly live?
9 我們尊重自己的父母訓練，而非溺愛我們，那麼，為何不欣然接受上帝的訓練，好讓我們能夠真實地生活呢？
10-11 While we were children, our parents did what seemed best to them. But God is doing what is best for us, training us to live God’s holy best. At the time, discipline isn’t much fun. It always feels like it’s going against the grain. Later, of course, it pays off handsomely, for it’s the well-trained who find themselves mature in their relationship with God.
10-11 當我們還是孩子的時候，我們的父母以他們認為是最好的方法教育我們。但是上帝是用對我們而言最好的方式，訓練我們活出上帝的聖潔美善。在受管教時，沒什麼樂趣可言，似乎總是有違個人的意願。但後來的報償卻相當可觀，因為受過良好訓練的人，會發現自己與上帝建立了成熟的關係。
