Don’t Fooling Ourselves

^8-9 If we claim that we’re free of sin, we’re only fooling ourselves. A claim like that is errant nonsense. On the other hand, if we admit our sins—make a clean breast of them—he won’t let us down; he’ll be true to himself. He’ll forgive our sins and purge us of all wrongdoing.

^8-9 若是我們宣稱自己沒有犯過罪，就是在愚弄自己。這種聲明無疑是瞞天大謊。然而，若是我們承認自己的罪——完完全全坦誠相告——祂絕不會棄我們於不顧；祂會忠於祂自己，不但饒恕我們的罪，並且洗淨我們一切的不義。
